After 22 years presenting breakfast radio in Liverpool for which she received a prestigious ‘Radio Sony Academy’ & ‘ ARIAS’ award Leanne is thrilled to be currently hosting Hits Radio Breakfast Show across Liverpool & Lancashire. Leanne was head hunted for radio whilst playing Fairy Liquid in Snow White at the Royal Court Liverpool back in 2003, although she began working professionally in theatre and TV at the age of 10 whilst training at Elliott Clarke school of Dance and Drama full time. She landed roles such as Annie (Liverpool Playhouse) and Helen Forester, Twopence to cross the Mersey (Liverpool Empire) for which she was awarded a Scouseology Award for 'Top Theatre Personality' and a Daily Post Art Award in the 'Best New Talent' category. After winning a scholarship to continue training at Laines Theatre Arts in London she then continued her theatre career both in Liverpool and on tour playing leading roles in many musicals and plays such as Me and My Girl, Scrooge The Musical, Carousel, The Sound of Music and Dick Whittington before she was cast in ITV’S 'Children’s Ward' playing Pam and numerous TV advertising campaigns including Coldseal, Tommee Tippee and The Post Office. Other roles include, Val in The Cavern, Trina in the new comedy play 30 days in Walton Jail, Cinderella at the Royal Court, Sleeping Beauty at the Floral Pavilion. Leanne appeared in channel 4’s Documental as part of the Comedy Lab series and One Night Only at the Liverpool Empire. She wrote and performed her first comedy play ‘Pete Price is Dead!’ at the royal court to packed out crowds in 2020 and took on the leading role in both The Salon and Achey Breaky Bride at The Epstein. Panto favourite Leanne is proud of her 5 year reign as princess and villain at the Empire staring in everything from Peter Pan to Snow White and has since completed 5 consecutive years at the M&S Bank arena in pantomime returning this December as Princess Jasmine in Aladdin. She can currently be heard as the voice of Liverpool virtual tour for The Liverpool Heritage Site and seen on TV appearing in the international advertising campaign for Playstation. Leanne will be appearing as the Magic Mirror here at Theatre Royal St Helens this Christmas in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. After a successful year hoisting the Big Blackpool Illumination switch on with Spice Girl Mel B and joined the Britain’s Got Talent presenting team hosting the stage at the judge’s auditions.
